Inaugural TAP flight to Lisbon
City break in Lisbon, vacation on the Atlantic coast or stop-off on the way to South America? Starting today, the Portuguese airline, TAP, is flying twice daily from Cologne/Bonn to Lisbon. The flight towards Portugal took off right on time at 17:20 this Saturday. With immediate effect, the route will be served twice daily in the mornings and evenings.
“We are really delighted about our new customer at Cologne Bonn Airport. From Lisbon, TAP offers attractive connections to South America, so it is interesting for long-haul passengers as well. From now on you have straightforward connections in Lisbon”, said airport chief Michael Garvens.
Marta Alves, TAP’s Area Sales Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, adds: “The new route from Cologne/Bonn to Lisbon is a key building block in our strategy for the German market. We are firmly convinced of the success of this new route.”
The partly state-owned airline is a member of the Star Alliance. TAP uses the airport in Lisbon as a hub for its almost 85 destinations in Europe, Africa and North and South America. Tickets to Lisbon can be booked from as little as EUR 53 per segment on the airline’s website ( www.flytap.com). Hand baggage, snacks and drinks are included.
